Purplespace has extensive experinece in designing and developing NHS websites that meet NHS criteria and have maximum impact for the audience. Projects have ranged from full public facing websites with NHS Lincolnshire to community health related projects for a younger audience funded by NHS Hull. NHS Lincolnshire

NHS Lincolnshire re branded from Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust to NHS Lincolnshire and developed new content and images to represent the new branding. Bespoke Content Management System templates were used to make a unique offering for NHS Lincolnshire. The website adhered by AA standard in accessibility. A social media marketing strategy was developed and implemented including the creation of Flickr, Facebook and Twitter marketing campaigns which increased reach of key messages above all in a time when Swine Flu was most promiment. Google Analytics was intergrated into the site.

NHS Lincolnshire – Internal Communications Newsletter

An internal Newsletter for NHS Lincolnshire was redesigned to incorporate the new branding and give it a fresh and friendly look. Users were able to scan down easily, and a new navigation in the right hand navigation allowed readers to jump down to the sections that were relevent to them.An icon library of over 200 images was created to enhance the look and feel of the newsletter, producing a successful and effective means of communicating internally to the whole of NHS Lincolnshire.

NHS Sheffield – Centre for Clinical Research
The Centre for Clinical Research website required a new look and feel to represent their new ‘children’s’ branding. It also required a large overhall of the architecture of the site to condense the existing site and produce a more intuative product appealing to families, researchers and sponsors alike. To achiveve this a vigorous User Centered Design process was used to put this in place. The site was hand coded in raw HTML and CSS and provided easy ways of updating through using Dreamweaver templates.

NHS Hull – RadioActive Live
RadioActive Live was a community health project funded by NHS Hull with a remit to help get health messages across to young people. The base of the project involved a Radio Station which broadcasted up to twice a week. Purplespace created a website to support the project. It took advantage of pioneering means of e-communcations back in 2005 to engage the young audience in online blogs, podcasts, photos, videos from events and live streaming. The site branding reflected the young audience and also was sophisticated in order to meet NHS standards and guidelines.
The website was runner up in the New Statesman New Media awards in 2005 for innovation in the community.

NHS Hull – RadioActive Live Certificates

In addition to creating the website for RadioActive live, Purplespace also created certifcates of achievement for the young people. The design was simple but effective and fitted in with budgetry requirments.

NHS Hull – Hull Health Trainers
Hull Health Trainers was one of a pilot of ‘health trainers’ initiatve from the NHS. The organisation required a website to represent what Hull Health Trainers were about and information on how to become a ‘health trainer’. The style represents a fun and innovative way of getting involved in health initiatves in Hull. Training was provided for administrative staff to maintain the website through sophisticated Dreamweaver templates.
